With over 13,000 attendees, the 114th NAACP National Convention shattered records and expectations across the region!

We welcomed thousands to the HUB July 28-July 30th; engaged with community based organizations in Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mattapan; secured several game changing contracts for women and Black owned businesses; and members engaged in rigorous debate on issues important to Black America. By all metrics this unprecedented convening had unprecedented impact, and we could not have done it without you!

NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson Meets with Massachusetts Governor Healey Ahead of 2023 National Convention
WASHINGTON - Today, NAACP President and CEO, Derrick Johnson met with Gov. Maura Healey (Mass.) during his visit to Boston. He also spent time at Harvard University as a guest panelist for their Thursday Institute of Politics forum where he discussed political activism with former Massachusetts Rep. Joe Kennedy III.

NAACP Boston Branch June Membership Meeting
During June's NAACP membership meeting, NAACP Boston Branch President Tanisha Sullivan detailed the plan for the 2023 NAACP Convention in Boston. The Boston Branch is looking to recruit 1,500 volunteers (and paid staff positions/fellowships) to help support the National Conference.
